Jonathan Harris Bio

Singer/songwriter Jonathan Harris has been performing all around the Pacific Northwest since 1997. He has had the honor of warming the stage for a list of Country Music Artists that reads like a who’s who list:Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniel’s Band, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Black Hawk, Jo Dee Messina, Gary Allen, Asleep At The Wheel, Hal Ketchum, Sammy Kershaw, Trick Pony, Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, Daryle Singletary, Jeff Carson, She Daisy, and Mark Chestnutt, just to name a few. In 2004 he was honored to perform for President Bush and thousands of military personnel at Fort Lewis. “What an honor to play for our country’s heroes. I take every opportunity I get to thank our military for their service”. He was named as one of Jim Beam’s top five artists in the nation and is proud to own the custom Les Paul guitar Jim Beam presented to him as a birthday gift. His boyish charm on stage and polished voice has earned him a loyal and dedicated following.

Jonathan was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. Music has always been his passion. His love of country music and the outdoors come straight from his northwest upbringing. He loves to fish, hunt, golf and snowboard. He is a heavy equipment operator and is as good with a hammer and saw as he is with a lyric and melody. Jonathan met his wife, Jessica, at the Western Washington Fair in 1992. Together they have two sons, Tucker and Tanner. Jonathan grew up with deep seeded family values. His world revolves around his family and it shows in the smile on his face when he looks down from the stage and sees them beaming back at him. “I thank God everyday for the family I’ve been given. They give me the inspiration to keep pushing forward and tackling head-on whatever comes our way”. Jonathan’s religious up-bringing is apparent in his kind, open hearted attitude toward others and life. His love of nature and his wife’s love of animals come together on their five acre ranch in Graham, Washington.

In late 2006 Jonathan was signed by Region1Records in Nashville, TN. His new album, “Where Concrete Don’t Grow”, was released in April of 2007. The title cut was written by Jonathan and he has two other co-writes on the album as well. Those close to him will agree that the new album is “pure Jonathan”. “I love the songs on our latest release. From the songs we wrote, to the songs we were pitched, I feel we have the best of the best to fit our style”. It captures his love of the outdoors, God, and his family, and showcases his powerful emotion filled vocals. With a new record label behind him, his northwest tour is soon to be expanding nationwide.
